About Us

Nothing unusual here….

Knickerbocker Prints began long before the printer ever powered on.

We met in grade school and stayed friends all through high school. Life took us in different directions — marriages, families, hard lessons, and growth — and years later, after we had both been married and divorced, we found our way back to each other. Sometimes the best love stories just take the scenic route.

Today, we’re building this new chapter together with the support of our beautifully blended family: six children, five grandchildren, and two more on the way. In the middle of full-time jobs and raising one of our young grandchildren, we decided to start something that brought us joy — and that something became Knickerbocker Prints.

What began as a hobby turned into something much bigger. Most of my hobbies eventually collect dust or get packed away, but 3D printing has held my heart for years. There’s something magical about watching an idea take shape layer by layer. The only problem? I don’t even get to print half the files I receive! The list of “must print next” just keeps growing.

Our family and friends are our unofficial product testers. They help choose what goes on the printer next, try out new designs, and give honest feedback. With so many different interests in our home, choosing just one theme was impossible — so we didn’t.

The adults love our DnD pieces for their next campaign night or nostalgic horror-inspired keychains and miniatures that bring back memories of their first scary movie. The kids — and let’s be honest, the adults too — can’t get enough of the articulated toys and fidget items.

Then came a stroke of luck. A wonderful local shop, Needful Things Shop, opened an Artist’s Alley — and I was accepted to sell my prints there. Seeing something that started at our kitchen table displayed in a real shop was surreal. It gave this little hobby new wings.

I still love printing for my family, for the shop, and sometimes just to leave something behind somewhere — a tiny surprise meant to brighten a stranger’s day.

Knickerbocker Prints isn’t just a small business.
It’s late nights after work.
It’s laughter around the printer.
It’s grandchildren picking colors.
It’s second chances.
It’s building something together.

Thank you so much for visiting our page and supporting our journey. I truly hope you enjoy these prints as much as I enjoy making them for you.
